- The YMCA of Greater Boston is also a partner to the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) and delivers SNAP-Education/ Nutritional Education to all distribution Centers in the city of Boston, partners with the Massachusetts Alliance of Ys and works directly with JSI and independent consultant to measure the impact of all Distribution Center Operations and Activities.
- We are a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) sponsor of the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
- The Nutritionist role is responsible for connecting the menus for the SFSP and CACFP with SNAP-Ed approved curriculum.
- The Nutritionist will create and implement SNAP-Ed nutrition lessons to youth utilizing the food program menus.
- The Nutritionist will work closely with partner sites, youth and children, and families.
