- In collaboration with Department Heads, s/he provides leadership, consultation, and collaboration in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment and is the primary back up for front managers in their absence.
- The House Supervisor plans for, leads, coordinates, and facilitates the provision of quality care and service from a hospital-wide, shift-specific perspective in a manner that fosters accomplishment of the specific Department’s goals and objectives.
- The House Supervisor is responsible for issues related to staffing, patient/family relations, risk management, clinical coordination, patient placement, public affairs and communications, evaluation and mentoring.
- Ensures appropriate distribution and allocation of supplies/equipment and provides for adequate numbers and mix of staff to deliver appropriate clinical services to the patients served.
