- While regularly scheduled, the members of the float pool are deployed on a shift by shift to provide nursing care to patients in the Medical/Surgical/Telemetry, ICU and Geriatric Psychiatry units at Everett Hospital.
- Job Responsibilities: The Nursing Assistant - Float Department- knows and understands the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of Nursing Service.
- The Nursing Assistant provides basic nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of the professional nurse.
- Working with patients on the medical/surgical/telemetry, ICU, geriatric psychiatry and other departments as needed.
- Qualifications/Experience: High School Diploma AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider One year of previous experience as a nursing assistant Currently enrolled in a nursing program and have completed two cycles of clinical rotation Completion of an approved certified nursing assistant training program Or equivalent experience as determined by the CNO or designee Will be required to take and pass a physical agility exam.
