- The Nurse Practitioner will practice/perform the medical services as delegated or directed by the supervising physician as long as they are within the scope of practice for the RN/APRN. The NP will abide by the standards and laws governing the practice of nursing and advanced practice registered nursing as established by the designated State Board and specified State Professional and Occupational Standards.
- It is the obligation of each Nurse Practitioner to ensure that their supervisory requirements are adhered to, that the relationship of and access to the supervising physician is defined, and that a process for evaluation is established.
- It is the obligation of each Nurse Practitioner to keep current with required continuing education and licensure.
