- Job Summary: The inspector will work to obtain a DX and NDT inspection stamp.
- The basic operations include training to become an FPI (fluorescent penetrant inspection), X-Ray, Etch, Ultrasonic or CT (computerized tomography) Scan inspector.
- Performs non-destructive inspection (NDI) such as FPI/ X-RAY/ Etch/ Ultrasonic and CT scan based on qualifications, performs cleaning and inspection of aircraft components according to customers specifications, airworthiness directives, applicable manufacturers CMM guidelines and operating procedures and identifies structural and material defects, interprets test results, completes test reports and presents findings
- Maintains NDT equipment, maintains current knowledge of and complies with customer/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/Joint Aviation Administration (JAA) technical data as applicable to the work assigned and maintains proper segregation and identification of components in progress
- Detailed NDT inspection certification is required at the conclusion of training.
