- Nail Cell Operator & Rivet Assembly and Collated Floater - 2nd shiftLocation: Downers Grove Department: Nail Rivet CellHours: 2nd shift: 2:15 PM - 10:45 PMPurpose: Perform duties to changeover, set up and operate all rivet assembly machines, collated machines, and nail making machines to produce quality product in accordance with part specification and quality standards in each respective cell.
- Rivet Assembly Operator Responsibilities:Work from job orders, part prints, product control and inspection procedures, troubleshooting guide, machine changeover guide, and instructions:Changeover automated assembly machine, add or remove parts to adjust head height, replace blocks, and adjust air pressure in feeder bowl and crimper based on rivet size.
- Pack rivets in hoppers, buckets, or boxes and place in carton; place on skid and tag skid or hopper following established procedures.
- Use pull test machine, weigh scale, continuity tester, pedestal grinder, data entry terminal, computer printer, metal edging machine, micrometer, calipers, hand pallet jack, and hand tools.
- Nail Cell Operator ResponsibilitiesWork from job orders, prints, production control and inspection procedures, trouble shooting guide, procedure sheets, work orders, equipment manuals, preventive maintenance procedures, samples, instructions, quality procedures, and safety procedures:Set up nail making machine, line up die sets, align and fit in press, center with punch, install cutters, align with dies, and adjust wire feed for proper head size.
