- The UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center (MCC) is embarking on a new trajectory to leverage its significant research and clinical strength which is embedded in an environment that values innovation and collaboration.
- With a robust commitment from UCSD executive leadership, attractive resources across the MCC/UCSD, an exciting San Diego biotech environment, and a new Cancer Center Director leading a dynamic new senior leadership team, we seek a Deputy Director to fill a key leadership role as we launch the next era of impact by the Moores Cancer Center.
- This position is responsible for, in collaboration with the Cancer Center Director and Associate Directors, the strategic vision, long term planning, direction and overall accountability of the of the Cancer Center's research enterprise, with a focus on the translational, and clinical research activities of MCC. The Deputy Director will also represent the Director and Moores Cancer Center and UC San Diego in multiple campus-wide, statewide and national organizations.
- The UCSD Moores Cancer Center seeks a dynamic, collaborative faculty leader to coordinate and expand the national prominence of our clinical-research portfolio across the MCC Consortium (including San Diego State University, a Hispanic-serving university, and the La Jolla Institute of Immunology, a powerhouse of basic immunology research).
- The Deputy Director will be responsible to play a leading role, along with the MCC Director, in the recruitment of promising and established faculty members (both clinician scientists and researchers) to achieve the MCC's goals, in alignment with its strategic plan.
