- The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of California, Irvine -School of Medicine invites applications for the position of Medical Physicist.
- This position is responsible for teaching residents and students and promoting educational activities including the physics residency and dosimetry training programs.
- Represent the Radiation Oncology Department on Hospital Leadership committees about quality, safety, and performance improvement.
- Monitor, participate in, and facilitate clinical operations safety programs, including radiation safety, universal protocol, and Joint Commission requirements.
- Establish compliance with National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG) through formulation, implementation, and regular review and upgrading of departmental policies in all areas of patient safety (including time outs, patient identification, site and side marking, patient falls, medication reconciliation, and any new goals introduced).
