- The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Kansas Medical Center and the University of Kansas Health System is seeking outstanding faculty medical physicists at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
- The Department has just completed a Varian Eclipse/ARIA RTM v18.0 upgrade, the first in the US. KUs IBA ProteusONE is projected to be the first in the region to deliver FLASH therapy.
- The Medical Physics group at KU strives for excellence in both clinical and research and is rapidly growing a national reputation in many areas, including treatment planning, dosimetry, instrumentation, QA/QC, proton therapy, FLASH, optimization, Monte-Carlo simulations, and more.
- The Medical Physics research is currently being funded by multiple NIH grants, industry grants and KUCC physicist/scientist recruiting grants.
