- Performs required lab work and/or reference searches in analytical chemistry, chemistry and biochemistry to facilitate NOW product analyses and development.
- Develops scientifically valid testing methods (i.e. identity, purity, strength, and composition as well as limits on contaminants, adulterants) for both incoming raw materials and products to meet the qualitative and quantitative claims for active ingredients/strength markers.
- Executes method transfers to QC lab on-site and at satellite locations.
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school in laboratory science field, e.g. chemistry, biology, Biochemistry, or biomedical/nutritionally related science and a minimum of ten years industry laboratory experience including a minimum of three years method development FRIR, FT-NIR, HPLC, LC/MS, HPTLC, GC, GC/MS, ICP/MS, ICP/OES and UV/Vis experience or equivalent.
- Familiarity with nutraceutical products and their application desirable, experience with herbal products helpful.
