- The Materials Engineer will join an existing team to support all of John Crane material needs worldwide with technology services, material analysis, material development, product development, and engineering technology.
- The materials of construction include metal alloys, superalloys, elastomers, polymers, carbons, ceramics, and hard coatings, and the review and analysis of new materials including in-house production, additive manufacturing & external supplier qualification.
- 2) Conduct and report on a wide variety of experimental tasks, including (but not limited to) mechanical testing, chemical testing, material compatibility, microscopy, microstructure analysis, fractography, and corrosion assessments.
- 5) Support local and global Field Engineers with issues observed in-service including fractography and failure analysis investigations with root cause analysis (RCA).
