- HEICO is seeking a Materials Engineer for full time direct hire position in Hollywood, FL.ROLE: The Materials Engineer is responsible for evaluating evaluate materials and processes to manufacture materials for use in products that must meet specialized design and performance specifications.
- Includes those working with composite materials or specializing in one type of material, such as graphite, metal and metal alloys, ceramics and glass, plastics and polymers, and naturally occurring materials for analyzing product failure data and laboratory test results to determine causes of problems and develop solutions.
- Perform reverse engineering on non-production parts in order to develop production specifications and Quality Test Procedures, as well as Parts Manufacturing Authority reports for the FAA.Conduct Research and Development Analysis of materials to assist with Business Unit’s New Product Development Process.
- Assist on materials analysis process for production parts to ensure conformity to specifications (grain size and flow, abusive machining, hardness, chemistry, etc.)
