This position is responsible for developing cost effective manufacturing operation f or an assigned product area. Duties/Responsibilities: &nbsp; Reviews product design and makes appropriate recommendations of design changes to optimize DFM. &nbsp; Develops jigs, tools, fixtures and methods for efficient fabrication and assembly. &nbsp; Documents new methods and follows through to assure efficient implementation to the assigned production. &nbsp; Communicates with customers on manufacturing issues. &nbsp; Manages manufacturing improvement projects. &nbsp; Capital AR generation and ownership &nbsp; Capital project mgmt. Requirements: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university;three - five years related experience in Mechanical Engineering and/or training;or equivalent combination of education and experience. &nbsp; Experience with interconnection technology and PCB assembly. &nbsp; Knowledgeable in the Mil/Aero market. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. &nbsp; Highly motivated self-starter, independent, able to work with limited supervision, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. &nbsp; Familiarity or prior experience with industry specifications preferred (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, MIL-A-28870, IPC-CC-830, etc.).&nbsp; &nbsp; Experience designing manufacturing tooling and jigs. &nbsp; Experience with process characterization (CpK) and implementation of statistical control methods to maintain process control. &nbsp; Experience using 3D modeling tool - AutoCAD and Pro E familiarization are a plus. &nbsp; Experienced with manufacturing processes and technologies such as SMT and Through Hole soldering, mechanical press fit, conformal coating, and encapsulation. &nbsp; Experience implementing lean manufacturing principles and techniques. &nbsp; Experienced with NPI techniques. &nbsp; U.S Citizen required to support government contracts and programs. &nbsp; Must have strong computer knowledge- MS Office-Word, Excel and Outlook. &nbsp;
