- The Utility Maintenance Technician is responsible for successfully executing work orders, tasks, trouble calls, and projects as directed by the PSM Supervisor in the following areas: city water supply, R.O. water supply, soft water supply, boilers and condensate, hot water generation, compressed air systems, nitrogen generation, chillers and cooling towers, co-generation, and backup power systems.
- The USM technician supports all PSM activities associated with the 3A PSM qualification role as a secondary function and as a member of the PSM team.
- The USM Technician is also responsible for successfully supporting and applying process and training that have been designed to develop his/her growth opportunities and as well for always ensuring a safe and secure work environment that operates in compliance with SOP’s, GNP’s.
- Primary work scope includes, but is not limited to, plant start up, boiler tending, makeup water treatment, plumbing, pipe fitting and welding, fabrication using different materials ranging from welding of structural steel and stainless steel.
- Mechanical knowledge of boilers, steam and condensate systems, culinary and sanitary steam systems, hot water generation, compressed air systems, nitrogen generators, chillers and cooling towers, reverse osmosis, water softeners and cogeneration
