- Responsible for implementation and execution of the preventive maintenance program, and work order completion, and engages in electronics, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical maintenance work; performs work requiring necessary skills and ability to prevent or correct improper operation of equipment with minimum supervision and direction.
- The I.M.M - A class must specialize in electronic and electrical maintenance work yet maintain a working knowledge of all other types of maintenance work as the mechanic will be expected to perform in the areas.
- Responsible for the completion of work request forms, PM's and work orders sheets, and parts ordering; ensuring that the maintenance administration clerk is informed of stock levels and parts required.
- Repairs, maintains and installs electrical systems and equipment, such as copper heads, filler valves, mothers, transformers, frequency drives, motorized valves, wiring, conduit installation, and control/lighting/main distribution panels.
- Working knowledge and understanding of a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment, electronics, instrumentation, and testing.
