- Under the general direction of the Plant Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the plant’s equipment operates safely, at the highest capacity, with the highest possible on-stream time, for the lowest long-term cost of ownership.
- rotating equipment (i.e. mechanical seals, turbine overhauls, bearing designs, etc.)
- Assist with Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance as it relates to mechanical integrity, engineering design, relief devices, process safety information, maintenance related procedures and all applicable document retention requirements.
- Routinely reviews backlogs and/or MI compliance reports to ensure all critical PM/PDMs and MI inspections are scheduled/completed within established time limits.
- Coordinate and direct Predictive Maintenance activities such as vibration analysis, ultrasonic inspection, thermography, and oil analysis.
