- The Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine and the UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center at the Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine is seeking a Clinician-Investigator Medical Oncologist for a faculty position with a focus in Thoracic Cancers.
- The successful candidate would join a thriving multidisciplinary medical oncology practice and be able to leverage world class scientific collaborations and robust infrastructure for investigator initiated, industry sponsored, and population based clinical trials.
- She/he will report to the Chief of Hematology & Medical Oncology and be expected to have administrative, clinical, teaching, and research responsibilities in the Mays Cancer Center, one of the nation's NCI-Designated Cancer Centers with over a 40-year tradition of excellence in development of new cancer therapies, understanding cancer biology, and decreasing the burden of Cancer in San Antonio and South Texas.
- Subspecialty Medical Oncology experience/expertise in patient care and clinical trials in lung cancer is preferred and the ideal candidate will be expected to contribute to the clinical and research programs of our multidisciplinary practice.
- The lung Oncology program at the Mays Cancer Center has an extremely strong and growing presence in South Texas.
