- The Department of Surgery, Division of Pediatric Surgery at Stanford University is seeking a Life Science Technician I to join the lab of Dr. Bill Chiu, Associate Professor of Surgery, to perform basic functions and activities involved in defined research projects and conduct and analyze experiments under supervision.
- This position will perform guided experiments including simple mouse experiments and may assist with performing survival surgery on mice, operate imaging technologies and controlled substance maintenance under direct supervision.
- Maintain detailed records of experiments, review literature on an ongoing basis and remain current with new procedures and related research
- General lab maintenance: maintain lab stock, manage inventory of lab including cell lines, solutions, chemicals, and frozen tissue samples, order supplies, and safety records, and provide general lab support as needed.
