- The Licensed Practical Nurse II (LPN II) works under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse III and in collaboration and coordination with Physicians, healthcare team members, and families to provide safe, effective, efficient, quality care to patients/residents.
- The Licensed Practical Nurse II will utilize Nursing Professional Standards of Practice, Nursing Code of Ethics and WMHC Code of Conduct to ensure such care.
- In a team relationship, the Licensed Practical Nurse II can contribute to the nursing process by collecting patient/resident data, assisting with the development of care plans, implementing established interventions, and collecting data to assist in the evaluation of patient/resident outcomes.
- The LPN II is responsible for carrying out Physician and Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP- CRNP and PA) orders and treatments.
- Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nursing classifications or Nursing or Health Care Specialist specialty codes in the Nursing field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
