- The successful candidate will be a part of GE Vernova's Onshore Wind Global Machine Head Rotating Components Driveline subsystem team.
- The role offers hardware ownership opportunity including design, analysis, supplier qualification, testing and validation focusing on Main Bearings for utility scale wind turbines.
- The mechanical design engineer will primarily support the main bearing through the entire life cycle from conceptual design through detailed design and development, testing, qualification, manufacturing, and installed fleet support.
- We harness increased onshore wind energy potential through a broad family of turbines that are uniquely suited for a variety of wind environments, including Cypress, GE's most powerful onshore wind turbine, and GE's 2MW platform, which has more than 20GW installed and in operation today.
- Support manufacturing, sourcing, and the field with issue resolution and quick corrective actions for design related causes (NCR, SDR, PAC)
