- The Juvenile Detention Center (JDC) Superintendent, is responsible for direct oversight of Juvenile Detention Center operations.
- The JDC Superintendent ensures the juveniles detained within the secure facility receive high-quality services that comply with court orders and established court policies, as well as all State and Federal licensing standards and regulations.
- The JDC Superintendent is responsible for monitoring services, capacity, overseeing the hiring and managing of staff, and assuring staff meet minimum expectations and best practice standards.
- Possess a Masters degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Education, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or other human services field; AND
- Have a minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a child caring institution, child placing agency, criminal justice agency, or equivalent organization.
