- The Office of the Public Defender has a centralized Information Technology headquarters office located in Anne Arundel County and numerous field locations to include local OPD offices, courthouses, local detention centers and mental health hospitals.
- An Information Technology (IT) Technical Support Specialist II is the full performance level of work maintaining and modifying operating systems for multipurpose, multi‑tasking computers.
- The Server Engineer provides expertise and support to the Information Technology Division (ITD) including designing, planning, troubleshooting, installing and configuring hardware and software, and setting up servers and establishing network connections to the LAN and WAN throughout the statewide Offices of the Public Defender.
- The incumbent within this position must possess the technical expertise, and knowledge of principles and practices of supporting all roles of Windows Server 2019 (in an enterprise environment), network security, LAN/WAN communications, and server management operating in a high-availability environment.
