Our team supports a combined fleet of ships sailing to Alaska each summer, lodges and hotels, motor coaches and domed rail cars for the best Alaska experience available.. Must have completed two seasons with HAP Alaska-Yukon, as a Driver Guide operating a motor coach, or if an applicant has held a CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) for at least two years (with passenger endorsement and air brakes) must have completed one season with HAP Must possess a current, valid, Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL), with passenger endorsement, and air brakes Must have a clean driving record that meets company safety standards.. Must be certified as physically qualified through a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).

Our guests experience both comfort and adventure that is truly unmatched.Communicates and enforces Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) regulations, state and local regulations, and company policies. Demonstrates driver-guide techniques and maintenance duties. Conducts behind the wheel training sessions. Evaluates student driver's abilities and training progress and documents student driver's skills progress. Reports trainees progress to management on a regular basis. Maintains records in the appropriate logs. Other duties as assigned. Company certification as Instructor-Trainer is required. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Minimum age of 21 is required. Must pass a pre-employment background check. Participates in HAP’s sustainability program, aka “Sustain Alaska & the Yukon”, and efforts by actively recycling (where available), reducing waste, and educating guests about our commitment to the environment. Participate in HAP’s safety culture to ensure a safe workplace for all team members and a safe vacation experience for all guests. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Ability to prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment. You must also have the ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain attention to detail and accuracy, supervise trainees. Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals. Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards. Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day. Ability to work in varied temperatures outdoors (temps may reach as low as -20 degrees).
