- Successful candidates will be employees of NWS, a premier government contractor charged with employing highly motivated and well-qualified personnel who can advance the missions of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, CA. Though employed by NWS, the employee will take day-to-day direction from technical personnel employed directly by the research laboratories.
- Pay, benefits, Human Resource, and Employment Management functions are provided by NWS. The Operations and Business Directorate has an opening within the Environmental Safety and Health Division for an Instructional Designer to use various instructional design theories and analysis techniques for adult learners to develop new (full lifecycle) or revise existing courses and advanced computer assisted learning systems.
- The successful candidate will use the latest web-development and graphic art tools in order to leverage technology and keep the Laboratory’s training on par with industry trends.
- Experience in implementing instructional technology models and designs and the application of adult learning theory, web design and/or web-based training interface design.
- Experience with designing and developing instructor led, web-based, and on-the-job training for adult learners including target audience analysis, needs analysis, scope identification, design specifications, defining objectives, and curriculum development.
