The Process Technician is responsible for the effective functioning of equipment and machinery in the mold room during the third shift. Some of our benefits include: <ul><li>11 paid holidays</li><li>Extremely affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>Paid PTO (Paid Time Off)</li><li>5% 401K match</li><li>Tuition Reimbursement</li><li>Yearly Bonus Potential</li><li>Advancement and growth opportunities</li><li>Climate controlled environment - Heat and Airconditioned facility </li></ul>Duties and Responsibilities: <ul><li>Maintain process control across all injection molding machines, always ensuring the production of acceptable quality parts.</li><li>Implement necessary parameter changes within process control limits to uphold high-quality standards.</li><li>Collaborate with a small team (2-3 technicians per shift) to efficiently change molds as needed, with an average mold change time of approximately 25 minutes.</li><li>Handle all mold changes, eliminating the need for setup/die-setter techs.</li><li>Set up end-of-arm tooling during mold changes and learn to make parameter adjustments to robot programs for efficient start-ups post-mold change.</li><li>Initiate start-up procedures for various injection molding technologies, including gas-assist molding, 2-shot molding, high cavitation molding, and insert automated molding. It is crucial for all technicians to start up and maintain all technologies within the department.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized production facility, adhering to standard 5S practices. </li><li>Document critical process parameters for all molding machines daily, following QS and ISO control practices.</li><li>Quickly grasp Echo's complex material handling system and familiarize yourself with all resins used.</li><li>Assist material handlers with material changes and color changes as required.</li><li>Lead by example on the production floor, setting a dedicated, efficient, and hard-working standard for all other employees/groups within the department. </li></ul>Qualifications: <ul><li>Minimum of three years of experience in roles related to setting up technology and process technology.</li><li>Preferably, candidates should have experience in establishing new processes and introducing new molds.</li><li>Familiarity with gantry-mounted robotics is desirable, particularly with Sepro, Yushin, and STAR robots used by Echo.</li><li>Experience in robotic programming, including position teaching for simple pick-and-place tasks, are preferred.</li><li>A comprehensive understanding of auxiliary process control is essential, along with the ability to assess the impact of each piece of equipment on the molding process, considering factors such as water flow and temperature, resin drying, shear heat, and screw design.</li><li>Possess extensive knowledge of processing various resins.</li><li>Adept at working in a fast-paced, accountable environment.</li><li>Proficiency in both Spanish and English is preferred.</li><li>Candidates should be capable of lifting 50lbs intermittently and meeting the physical demands of the job.</li><li>Strong multitasking skills are essential. </li></ul>Equal Employment Opportunity: We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and celebrate our employees' differences, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or Veteran status.
