- Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 FLSA Status: Full-time, Exempt Position Summary The Lake County Department of Human Services (LCDHS), led by the Human Services Director, is responsible for carrying out a variety of state and federal programs in Lake County on behalf of the State of Colorado.
- This includes numerous state assistance programs such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Old Age Pension (OAP), Home Care Allowance (HCA), Colorado Works (TANF), Colorado Childcare Assistance Program (CCCAP), Child Support Services, Child Welfare, Adult Protection, and Prevention Programming for youth at risk of child welfare involvement.
- The Human Services Director will be expected to be highly collaborative, working in partnership with the Deputy County Manager, county departments, community stakeholders and public benefit beneficiaries to create a customer service oriented, accountable, and robust Department of Human Services.
- The Human Services Director is expected to apply a framework of fairness, equity, inclusion, and belonging to the department’s operations and actively remove barriers to access public benefits and services.
- Overall, the Human Services Director plays a highly responsible and complex role in managing and administering State Assistance programs, county assistance programs and collaborating with community leaders to create a skilled human services workforce and expand county programming to meet our community’s public assistance needs.
