The PHIRST team is currently hiring experienced RNs to service patients across our service areas and in your own community which includes: Pennsylvania Counties: Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, are experts in administering medications, fluids, and other treatments directly into the patient’s bloodstream through intravenous (IV) lines.</li><li> They handle various types of infusions, including antibiotics, pain management, chemotherapy, nutrition, and factor therapy.</li><li> Unlike hospital-based care, these nurses bring their expertise to patients’ homes.</li><li> They assess patients, monitor their progress, and ensure safe and effective administration of infusions.</li><li> Home infusion therapy allows patients to avoid hospital stays and receive treatment in a familiar environment.</li><li> Nurses may simultaneously administer two different infusions to a patient.</li><li> This could involve managing multiple IV lines, coordinating medications, and ensuring compatibility and safety.</li><li> Work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers.</li><li> They follow established protocols and collaborate on treatment plans to meet each patient’s unique needs.</li><li> These nurses educate patients and their families about infusion procedures, potential side effects, and self-care.</li><li> They empower patients to manage their health at home and recognize any warning signs.</li><li> Regular monitoring is essential to track the patient’s response to treatment.</li><li> Nurses document vital signs, infusion rates, adverse reactions, and any adjustments made during the process.</li><li> Some patients may have CVADs, such as PICC lines or implanted ports.</li><li> Skilled in maintaining and using these devices for safe and efficient infusion delivery.</li><li> Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI): The nurse utilizes data and QI methods to identify potential and actual problems and opportunities to provide care that is safe, timely, efficient, effective, and equitable.</li><li> Evidence Based Practice and Research: The nurse evaluates and integrates best current evidence with clinical expertise and patient and family preferences and values for the delivery of optimal health care and system effectiveness.</li><li> Leadership: The nurse effectively collaborates and applies innovative, systems thinking to engage in systematic, evidence-based problem solving and decision making to promote effective changes within a complex care delivery system supporting the vision of Penn Medicine.</li><li> Person and Family Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited school of nursing</li><li> 15+ months of relevant professional nursing experience</li><li> Pennsylvania (or New Jersey) RN licensure (depending on hire location)</li><li> BLS/CPR as a healthcare provider, as per the American Heart Association</li><li> Have a car, valid driver’s license, and car insurance </li></ul>Clinical Nurse 2 track requirements: <ul><li> Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing</li><li> 15+ months of relevant professional nursing experience</li><li> Pennsylvania (or New Jersey) RN
