- The Home Health Aide is a non licensed member of the patient care team and works under the guidance and supervision of the staff nurse in providing personal care to the patients.
- 75 hours of training will be required with HHA certification.
- Follows the patient's plan of care for completion of tasks assigned to a home health aide by the registered nurse or other appropriate skilled professional; maintains an open communication process with the patient, representative (if any), caregivers, and family; demonstrates competency with assigned tasks; complies with infection prevention and control policies and procedures; reports changes in the patient's condition; and honors patient rights.
