- The Multi Skilled Technician will be trained as a Cardiac Monitor Technician (CMT) and a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC).
- In the CMT position, they will watch the cardiac monitors for all patients on the unit and notify the nurse if a rhythm changes.
- In the HUC position they will answer patients’ call lights, complete consultation calls, manage the unit phone, and assist in paperwork for the shift.
- Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); Paramedic, or a military corpsman; or National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); which must be maintained active during employment; or
- Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification: Provide certification of successful completion of a Florida State Board approved program and successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation.
