- The Medical Surgical Health Unit Coordinator is responsible for the efficient operation/coordination of the Central Nursing Station reception / clerical functions and the processing of all orders for the Medical Surgical and, as needed, the ICU patient population.
- The duties of the Unit Manager will include but are not limited to clerical functions (processing and transcribing physician orders, ordering supplies), reception functions (answering phones, greeting and assisting visitors), assisting with data gathering for CQI projects/databases, and assisting the Nursing Supervisor with multiple duties including schedule coordination and day-to-day staffing adjustments.
- The Health Unit Coordinator must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- State of New Hampshire license as a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) is strongly preferred prior to hire.
- If an LNA license is not present on hire, must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
