- The primary purpose and role of the NHC member is to build relationships with Healthy Pantry Initiative (HPI) pantries, providing enhanced and additional opportunities for engagement and learning.
- Organizing health promotion campaigns and materials (including print, digital, and video media) in collaboration with the Food Bank’s Marketing & Communications team and with guidance from the Site Supervisor to highlight national health awareness months, such as American Heart Month, American Diabetes Month, National Nutrition Month, etc
- Additionally, member will collaborate with fellow NHC members to share information about GPCFB programs (food pantries and distributions as well as other federal nutrition assistance programs, including SNAP, child nutrition, and senior nutrition programs).
- Identifying and disseminating chronic disease prevention materials from trusted sources (i.e., AHA, ADA, AND, CDC,etc.)
- Position offers flexible hours/service formats for members who may need them due to childcare commitments, probation/parole requirements, or other obligations.
