- A project of the NC Center for Health and Wellness at UNC Asheville, the WNC HPI was created to serve as a convener of and conduit for information, resources, and coalition-building to inform strategies for improving the health and wellbeing of all people of WNC through scholarship, collaboration, policy development and advocacy.
- Guiding the development of audio, visual, print, web and other media content to support regionalized health policy education, development, advocacy, and dissemination.
- May consider a Bachelor’s degree in public health, health promotion, political science, sociology or related with equivalent experience in health policy, health equity/justice or public health.
- Preferred Education/Experience/Skills Master’s degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Political Science, Health Policy, Social Work, Sociology or related field, or a Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience.
- Experience with issues relating to health policy, health equity and justice, health communications, and community and public health, particularly as it pertains to Western NC (defined as the 18 westernmost NC counties plus the Qualla Boundary).
