- Reporting to the Associate Dean of Libraries, Collections and Content Strategies, the Head of Metadata Services and Strategies will lead the department with a user-centered mindset in the creation and ingestion of metadata that aids in the discoverability of information resources held locally and globally as well as exploring new practices to expand discoverability.
- Partnering with metadata stakeholders across the Library, this role sets appropriate levels of description related to collections and develops and leads metadata initiatives.
- The Dartmouth Library is dedicated to supporting teaching, learning, and research and works in partnership with the students and faculty of the School of Arts & Sciences, the Thayer School of Engineering, the Tuck School of Business, the Geisel School of Medicine, and the Guarini School of Graduate and Advanced Studies.
- The Dartmouth College Library is a member of the Ivy Plus Libraries Confederation, the Association of Research Libraries, CRL, NERL, HathiTrust, CLIR/DLF, and the Library Publishing Coalition.
