- This position will assist the historic preservation planner in managing current historic preservation matters, including accomplish technical analyses of Certificates of Appropriateness applications, daily contact with the public regarding historic preservation and development matters that are proposed within the historic zoning districts.
- Assists in the administration of the Historic Preservation Chapter of the Land Development Regulations and the Historic Architectural Guidelines.
- Assists the Historic Preservation Planner in his/her duties and is part of staff support to the Historical Architectural Review Commission.
- Assists the Historic Preservation Planner advising boards and agencies, as required.
- Strong knowledge of the U.S. Secretary of Interiors Standards and Guidelines for Historic Preservation and knowledge of or ability to understand the Citys Historic Architectural Guidelines and Land Development Regulations pertaining to historic zoning districts and historic buildings.
