Grounds Maintenance Supervisor

- Responsible for overseeing and supervising semi-skilled and skilled employees performing groundskeeping, landscape maintenance, and construction work for the County's grounds, gateway corridors, and facilities.
- High school graduate or equivalent, and 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in grounds maintenance work, preferably in turf and landscape maintenance, irrigation installation and maintenance, sports turf maintenance and grounds maintenance equipment operation; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possession of a Class A Commercial Driver's License issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia with good driving record mandatory.
- Must be licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Certified Pesticide Applicator (State Category 3a and 3b), or must be willing to obtain such license within 6 months of employment.
- Completion of a Landscape Crew Manager Certification through the Mid-Atlantic Short Course; York County Master Gardener Program, or another equivalent horticulture or landscape certification preferred.
