- Description Position Summary The KIPP Public Schools Northern California Mental Health Team is seeking a 1st or 2nd year Graduate-level Counseling Student (MSW intern, MFT trainee, PCC practicum student) to support student success.
- Under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or credentialed Pupil Personnel School Counselor, Graduate Interns/Trainees assess barriers to students’ social, emotional, and academic success, provide individual and group counseling to address these barriers, consult with staff and link student and their families to community resources.
- Provide crisis intervention, assessments, and triage of students as needed.
- Enrolled in a practicum course at an accredited MA, MS, MSW program Desired Skills and Mindsets Antiracist framework with a passion for disrupting racial inequities and abolishing the school-to-prison pipeline.
- Bilingual (English-Spanish, Vietnamese, or Mandarin) desired.
