- The Technical Assistance Project for Economic Growth (TAP EG) is a 5-year $58 million activity that provides technical leadership, advisory support, data collection and analysis support, evaluations, and assessments, while delivering knowledge management and capacity-building services to design and implement USAID programs, projects, and activities globally.
- TAP EG conducts a range of applied research—including macroeconomic analyses, financial analyses, policy studies, private sector assessments, stakeholder landscape assessments—and provides on-demand technical assistance services across a wide range of USAID sectors.
- TAP EG services are available to USAID Bureaus, offices, and operating units who buy-in to the mechanism.
- USAID/Dominican Republic (DR) Mission has designed a program to promote sustainable and equitable economic development in the DR and the northwestern region beyond current possibilities.
- The program will create a comprehensive economic development plan, which will likely include components to promote nearshoring, agribusiness, workforce development, local Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) support, infrastructure improvements, climate adaptation, and other elements critical to inclusive, resilient economic growth.
