- We work hand-in-hand with researchers of the Scripps Research Translational Institute and Calibr to merge foundational studies in biology, chemistry and computer science with translational science to produce pioneering drugs and advances in digital and precision medicine.
- The Genomics Core Facility, Director oversees daily operation of the Genomics Core Facility, including: development of operating procedures, and providing researchers with consultation and support in experimental design and execution of Next-Generation Sequencing projects, including those using related technologies (e.g., single cell genomics assays, spatial profiling).
- Collaborate with diverse research labs, offering expertise in advising, guiding, and providing grant writing support for Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) projects.
- Oversee lab Biosafety (up to BSL2+), ensuring compliance with IRB and EH&S regulatory requirements.
- NGS library preparation strategies including the use of commercially available kits for DNA and RNA and ability to design custom library prep approaches to unique sequencing problems.
