Job Type: Full-time Salary: From $18.50 per hour Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm Essential Job Functions: Clean building floors and stairways by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, and vacuuming them. Gather and empty trash. Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Clean windows, glass partitions. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. Steam-clean or shampoo carpets. Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Respond to all off the hook and unlock requests from the front desk. Move furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks as needed. Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems. Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facility areas for events such as banquets and meetings. Set-up audio visual equipment for events. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED Years/Months of Experience: Six months or more related experienc Knowledge / Mental / Skill Requirements: Good communication and interpersonal skills. Work alone and as a member of a team, able to plan own work activities and work with a minimum amount of supervision. Knowledge of Hazard of Communication program. Ability to operate maintenance and power equipment; good skill in the use of hand and power tools. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to residents or other staff of the organization. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed with written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Able to use equipment required for tasks; understands chemical interactions. Skills in organization, appearance and demeanor. Pull, carry 10 lbs and push 40 lbs. Requires two-hand dexterity Ability to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time, climb multiple flights of stairs.
