- Other responsibilities include operating a cash register, receiving payments of cash and charges from customers or employee for goods or services, making change and issuing receipts to customers.
- The cashier records amounts received and may be expected to total and summarize funds received, prepare bank deposits and verify cash at the beginning of a shift.
- The cashier must understand and follow the UF Health Central Florida cash-handling policies and procedures.
- The cashier may also be required to prepare and clean the dining room andd server equipment for meal service, ensuring the acceptable appearance of the dining area.
- Non-essential duties may include the set-up storage of the server and beverage area.
