- Ensure proper chain of custody is followed by shop staff for daily paperwork, work orders, and parts usage utilizing fleet management software or other computer programs
- Maintain advanced knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems to perform advanced preventive and repair maintenance functions on heavy equipment and vehicles used by the Company, both onsite and on the road
- Assist in routine environmental, safety, OSHA, and DOT compliance and reporting for assigned location
- Work with safety and environmental manager on investigations and corrective actions as a result of injuries/accidents, audits, or employee concerns
- Train and direct fleet maintenance personnel on safest and most efficient methods of performing preventative maintenance and repairs
