- The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) Building & Fire Protection Engineering (BFPE) unit at the Kenneth A. Kesselring Site in Ballston Spa, NY is seeking a highly motivated Fire Protection Engineer.
- The BFPE unit is responsible for the site building code enforcement and fire protection program.
- They provide the engineering resource to support operation, maintenance and system reliability of the sites fire protection systems as well as building code compliance for new construction and building modifications.
- In addition, the Engineer will identify and analyze fire hazards, oversee proper installation and maintenance of fire detection, fire suppression, and fire communication systems, and train and obtain qualifications in the analysis of fire hazards, mitigation of fire damage through proper facility design, and installation/maintenance of fire systems.
- The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
