- Coordinate the mobilization, reassignment, and demobilization of fire fighting resources with other dispatch organizations
- You will be required to submit a Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Driving Record.
- You must also submit (within a State sealed envelope or submitted directly by the State authorities), and at your own expense, all certified driving records from all States that disclose all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by you.
- You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work.
- In order to be qualified at the GS-7 level, you must possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-6 in the Federal service, providing fire emergency dispatch services using a variety of telecommunications equipment; coordinating emergency response efforts between multiple dispatch/first response units; providing guidance to others on dispatching policies, procedures, or tools; and completing a variety of reports and forms to document dispatch activities.
