- Inspects new and existing business, commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and hazardous occupancies for compliance to applicable codes IBC, IFC, NFPA, etc), ordinances, client polices, and regulations (OSHA, EPA, CDOT, etc).
- Conducts fire/life safety code compliance follow-ups to ensure that corrective actions have been taken where violations have been found.
- Present and explain fire/life safety code and fire prevention information to client facility management.
- Attend training classes in order to maintain current knowledge of fire prevention, safety, and firefighting procedures.
- May be required to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Fire Inspector I if performing functions within the scope of such requirements
