Youll work beside global customers to install, maintain and upgrade their Applied Materials equipment, delivering world-class support for multimillion-dollar production systems.* Candidates must be fully authorized to work in the US. Visa sponsorship is not available for this roleRole Responsibilities: <ul><li>Assist with installing leading-edge customer equipment, performing scheduled preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance, and upgrading equipment </li><li>Follow procedures you learn during your training, as well as published task plans, to test equipment and to diagnose and resolve technical problems </li><li>Complete required job documentation, safety training and procedures for processing parts</li><li>Professionally represent Applied Materials to the customer, using your customer first mindset</li><li>Satisfy the companys and customers on-site requirements, including safety, environmental and COVID-19 guidelines</li><li>Train junior engineers on site-related safety, troubleshooting procedures, and developing a customer-first mindset</li></ul>Requirements and Qualifications: <ul><li>An associate degree or completion of military technical training and field experience or technical certification equivalent to associates degree</li></ul><ul><li>47 years of work experience in semiconductor industry or another equipment support industry</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics </li><li>Clear and effective written/verbal communications skills, with an emphasis on documenting details</li><li>Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) </li><li>Advanced mechanical aptitude and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum and/or thermodynamics</li><li>Strong knowledge of hand tools and proper usage, including a digital multimeter </li><li>You'll need a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a passport</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Ability to support rotational shifts (e.g., nights and weekends, including holidays when applicable) based on customer needs</li><li>Travel for training and alternate customer sites, based on business needs (may include international travel)</li><li>Your job requires the ability to: <ul><li>Walk extensively</li><li>Stand for extended periods of time</li><li>Work in tight spaces</li><li>Bend, squat, twist, kneel, and reach</li><li>Climb stairs and ladders</li><li>Lift up to 35 pounds</li><li>Ability to distinguish between colors</li><li>Ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise</li><li>Use hand and power tools</li><li>Additionally, because this position generally involves working in a clean room, it requires the use of appropriate personal protective equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields</li></ul></li></ul>Your benefits:At Applied Materials, we care about the wellbeing of our people, and we strive to support you in ways that extend beyond your work environment.
