Your primary focus will be taking ownership of composite component structural analysis. Your responsibilities encompass: Technical Substantiation: Utilize Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and hand calculations where relevant, to provide technical substantiation for composite part design decisions. Technical Contribution: Actively participate in technical and program reviews, contributing valuable insights, expertise, and communication with the customer. CAE Tool Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools like FiberSIM. Experience or background also desirable in Siemens Simcenter, ANSYS Classic, ANSYS Workbench, Nastran/Patran, and ABAQUS for analysis tasks. Some Siemens NX CAD experience for model modifications would be advantageous. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate directly with internal and external engineering teams, fostering effective communication and synergy. Engineering Problem Solving: Formulate and apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts to address complex engineering challenges like determining laminate architecture, material selection, creation of solid models, and design of sub-element components for structural testing. Document and Reporting: Thoroughly document all work, including analysis plans, in compliance with customer requirements and prepare and deliver comprehensive reports on your findings. Assist in manufacturing process: ensure the manufacturability of component designs and development at suppliers. Required Skills: Educational Background: Possess a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related engineering field from an accredited university. Experience: Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in aerospace structural analysis, or alternatively hold a Master's Degree in engineering from an accredited university. Workweek: Typically follows a 40-hour workweek, with core (required) hours from 9 AM to 4 PM. Transportation: Capability to use personal transportation to work at customer locations.
