- Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) independently performs a wide range of complex administrative, analytical, and consultative duties.
- Conduct analysis, including both initial and ongoing evaluations, of the Branch food safety/public health inspection program according to criteria set forth in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Manufactured Food Regulatory Program (MFRP) Standards
- Prepare, submit applications, track, and maintain Branch federal grants and contracts, including but not limited to the Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO) Milk and Shellfish Training grant, AFDO Milk and Shellfish Equipment grant, MFRPS grant agreement, and FDA Food Inspection Contract
- Analyze, research, and draft legislative proposals for management as assigned
- The Milk and Dairy Food Safety Branch is responsible for ensuring that milk, dairy products, and products resembling milk products (PRMP’s) are safe, unadulterated, and properly labeled to safeguard public health.
