- The Administration for Childrens Services (ACS) protects and promotes the safety and well-being of New York Citys children and families by providing child welfare, juvenile justice, and early care services.
- The Office of Youth and Family Development within the Division of Youth and Family Justice (DYFJ) works collaboratively to engage families, youth, ACS-contracted service providers, community supports, and foster parents in decisions concerning a youths goals, strengths, needs, service provision, well-being, and permanency.
- The Office facilitates Planning/Support Meetings and End of Placement Conferences for youth, following placement with ACS by a New York City Family Court Judge in the Close to Home program.
- Provide recommendations to ACS-contracted Non-Secure and Limited-Secure residential and aftercare providers regarding referrals and available resources.
- Consistently apply and uphold state and city law, regulations, and policy related to delivery of juvenile justice services.
