Overview:
Kimley-Horn's is seeking a Transportation Planner with 2+ years of experience to join the Raleigh, NC office!

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Contribute to the production and delivery of multi-modal transportation systems planning, including data collection, analysis, and technical reporting with a strong focus on Internal Traffic Systems.</li><li>Tasks and projects may include multi-modal corridor concept development, bicycle and pedestrian analysis and improvement concept development, multi-modal transportation analyses and design, transit operations planning and design, and community outreach.</li><li>Support all steps of a transportation planning project, including:<ul><li>Initial data gathering and needs identification</li><li>Goals setting and visioning</li><li>Development of recommended strategies and design concepts</li><li>Prioritization and cost estimating</li><li>Development of technical and public-facing documentation and presentations</li></ul></li><li>Project experiences will be diverse, as we provide services to both the public and private sectors</li><li>Perform a variety of tasks, supporting various project managers and collaborating with team members</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>2+ years of experience in a related field</li><li>Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as urban planning, transportation planning, or similar</li><li>Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to write and communicate findings clearly </li><li>Demonstrated experience in oral presentations and public speaking </li><li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) </li><li>Working knowledge of ESRI ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, and/or StoryMap </li><li>Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines </li><li>High attention to detail </li><li>Critical thinking and analytical skills </li><li>Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment </li><li>Ability to work independently and as a team </li></ul>
