- Executive Director, READI National Center for Safe CommunitiesSummary:The Executive Director is responsible for the strategic direction of Heartland Alliance’s work at the intersection of community safety, community gun violence, criminal legal system reform and racial equity through the READI National Center for Safe Communities.
- Oversees the operation of the READI National Center for Safe Communities, prioritizing the implementation of a sustainable funding model supported by philanthropic giving, fee for service activities, and grant-based awards.
- Partners with key HA leaders, including the Chief Program Officer, Chief External Affairs Officer, and the President to ensure The Center meets the highest standard of quality and meets or exceeds performance benchmarks.
- In concert with HA’s Chief Program Officer, President and others, represents Heartland Alliance’s CVI initiatives to external audiences through speaking engagements and presentations, and by serving on coalitions and committees that advances the field of violence intervention.
- Leads policy efforts, convenes structured conversations with key stakeholders, and ensures HA’s policy advocacy is driven by directly-impacted groups, field-informed, research and data-based, and equity-centered.
